My parents forced me to come to New Tech High. Originally, I wanted to go to Vintage High but, my parents thought it would be better for me if I go to New Tech. I was trying to convince my parents to let me transfer and hopefully go to Vintage, but then I started to like New Tech because the campus was small and the classes were easy. I was nervous, I didn’t know what was going to happen and how they were going to grade my work. So I asked them what was the grading rubric and I asked how they were going to grade it. I felt a little better when they told me because I was familiar to the way they were grading it. I’m glad that I now know what grading rubric the teachers are using and I'm also glad that this school is small and that it’s easy to reach out to the teachers. Knowing how the teachers grade I will take that to my advantage. Also I will talk to my teachers if I see something that goes wrong. If your worried about school stuff like how the teachers are going to grade your work, all you have to do is just ask.

In this project, I set out to make a model of a brain with the spinal cord with my team. The subject, my team and I were learning about, was brain physiology. We were planning to make the brain out of Styrofoam, but we thought it would be easier if we make the brain out of clay and to make the spinal cord we decided to get pipe cleaners and cut some water bottles and put the pipe cleaners through it. We also got wood so that the brain would be on top of the piece of wood because the water bottle wouldn't be able to hold the brain. While we were making the brain we were also thinking of color-coding the brain so that people knew which part of the brain was which. We also needed to research the brain so that we know what parts we were going to color-code and then we researched what that part of the brain did and why that specific part was important. So we got our information and got a paper and wrote a key on top and then the facts in the bottom. Hello, my name is Omero. I am in a class called MARTH. MARTH is a class where they combine math and art into one class. During class we learned about super graphics. Super graphics are big bright pictures of basically anything you can think of like, shapes, lines, animals, etc. My team and I decided to make up a design. While we were making this, there were a couple of teammates that did more work than the other. When we were making our super graphic we estimated how big we need it to be and we measured how long the tape should be and eventually we finished our super graphic, it wasn’t as good as we were hoping it was but it still looked good. Optical illusions can be deceiving. They can be tricky to understand and they mess with you brain, but they can be fun to draw. Some optical illusions have patterns and some look like they have graphs or a fraction of some sort in them. During class, being a person who is trying to learn math, it really tests my math skills and makes me think of ways to find solutions to the problem. While we are in art class, it gives me a chance to be creative and draw something that no one drew and it gives me a chance to share my ideas and it also helps me makes me makeup better ones when I collaborate with my class or table group.
