There was a family that was called Cardoso. Everybody in that family has small feet, small hands, and small bodies. My name is Omero Cardoso and I'm part of this short family. My mom is 5'4", my dad is 5'5" and I'm just 5'. None of us can reach the top shelf of the drawer. I have to climb on top of the counter and get the stuff that we needed to cook. That's how small my family is. My name means hostage in Greek. It means a desert with two people. It is sour. It is as white as snow. It's my father's name and now it’s mine. We both love to play soccer and eat seafood. In America, they say my name as O-mar-o or Omar. But my mom calls me a procrastinator like a dog trying to eat while a squirrel is running. I want to change my name to something more athletic a name that suits me better. Something like David or Philippe. My house is small. It has a large yard, in my house, there is a small television. There are no trees around so it is so hot that sometimes it suffocates. The windows are big, but we never open them. I feel very comfortable in my house, my house has 2 bathrooms, 3 rooms. I like it because it's always at peace and it's always quiet. On Saturdays, I play soccer. When I play soccer, I carry a backpack that I have with me which has, soccer shoes, goalkeeper gloves, and a bottle of water. If something goes wrong, for example, when I had injured my ankle, I couldn't play. I like to be a goalkeeper when it rains because it is very easy to dive for the ball. What I like most about soccer is when I am the person who throws a free-kick.
